The second generation model was sold until 2015 and then replaced by a new model which has left the double cabin models.

In South East Asia region, the presence of the Ford Everest was not able to beat its competitors who came from Japan – Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner. Ford Everest 2nd Generation Exterior Review

Just like its predecessor, the Ford Everest 2nd generation has a narrow exterior for headroom. The big difference is this model brings a better and sporty front fascia with a grid that has a huge hole (for a better flow of air toward the engine bay). In the rear, the rear lamp extends from top to bottom with backup tire is still retained. Overall, the exterior design looks stout and masculine just like the Ford Ranger.

In 2009, Ford decided to slightly remodel the look of this car to entice prospective consumers. Facelift / improvements that have been made such the headlamp was designed to be more aerodynamic. A ventilation hole with chrome accents on door also embedded to add a sporty impression.

Ford Everest 2nd Generation Interior Review

If the previous generation comes with cheap plastic interior materials, then this second generation has use a higher quality materials. Upholstery materials were also changed. The size of the interior still looks the same, but the driving position and ergonomics of the second line cabin are gaining more spaces. Unfortunately, this has resulted in the third line are more narrower but its good enough if compared to its competitors.

Its have high floor such as on Nissan Terrano. The second and third row seats can be folded into the floor to regain extra space. Talk about the third line of Everest, lateral spaces have improved, but still less to knee space. The bottom line, the third line of Everest could only fit to accommodate two adults passenger with body height is less than 5 feet.

Ford Everest 2nd Generation Performance Review

No more noisy engine in this new model. This is the most biggest difference with the previous model. Ford Everest 2nd Generation Impression and Handling Review

There is nothing that you can expect from this one. The comfort that is able to offer the same still with the pick-up models because its suspension was not overhauled by Ford. Suspension performance is better than the old model of Everest and more stable on rough terrain. Though a little stiff, but this suspension gives more stability when passing through the rough road because shocks can be absorbed by good suspension. On the other hand, the handling of this car is not too good and not so bad. Its just average.
